How black fungus spread : Mucormycosis

Now India is battling with two disease at the same time, Covid19 and Black fungus. where India reported more than 2 lakh cases of corona in a single day and more than 8k cases of black fungus, highest no. of cases of black fungus are reported in Mahrashatra and Gujrat.

The cases of black fungus are rising surprisingly high day by day among Covid19 patients. The mortality rate of black fungus is 50%. 

Though black fungus is very rare and fatal disease but now it is declared as epidemic in several states in India.

There are only 10% chances to recover if the infection spread to the brain, so it is better to detect early.

How black fungus spread

Mucormycosis caused by fungi group, mucormycetes. they are present throughout the environment, particularly in soil, wet surfaces and in association with decaying organic matter such as animal dung, leaves and compost piles.

They commonly present in soil more than in air, the fungi aren't harmful to most people, however, for people have weakened immune system.

It can cause an infection in the lungs or sinuses which can spread to other part of the body.
