Protect your children's eye from digital screen : Tips to keep eye healthy

During lock-down all classes transform in to mobile, child spent an average 4-5 hrs on online study in a day, which is not good for their eyes and overall health. 

There are lots of common complain are coming from parents that is, Headache, eye problems, dry eyes, stress.

 Symptoms that may signal of using screen for long time

1. Headache

2. Eye strain

3. Frequent blinking

4. Watering

5. Mild redness

6. Eye-ache

7. Double vision

How to protect  

1. Set the time limit

Parents should set the limit of digital screen. it should not be exceed more than 3 hours a day and there should be a gap of 2 to 4 min in every 30 minute of class. and tell your children to make a distance from digital screen about 25 cm or more.

2. Follow 20-20-20 rule

Tell your children to follow 20-20-20 rule while attending the online class, "after every 20 minutes spent using a screen; try to look at distance about 20 for a total of 20 seconds".

3. Eat healthy diet

Eating green vegetables, fruit, fruit juice are good for eye as well as overall health, it gives you nutrition, Vitamins, Minerals, so make sure to feed them a healthy diet. 

4. Do eye exercise 

Eye exercise are very important it gives relaxation to eye muscles, relieve from eye-ache, improve focus and concentration, relieve from tiredness and puffiness. 

1. Eye rotation Side to side

2. Eye rotation Up and Down

3. Eye rotation clockwise and anticlockwise

4. Palm rubbing

5. Trataka

5. Involve your child in some physical exercise 

Get your children involve in some physical exercise or workout, it gives freshness to the body, relieve from stress, headache, and give strength, flexibility.
