Cardiovascular diseases are the conditions related to the heart health which include disease of vessels, blood clot and structural problem.

According to WHO report "Cardiovascular disease are the leading cause of death globally".

In 2019, estimated 17.9 million people died from cardiovascular disease which is 32% of global health

Some studies have shown that "yoga can prevent cardiovascular disease".

The most common risk factor of CVDs are

  • Excessive use of Tobacco
  • Unhealthy diet
  • Obesity
  • Physical inactivity
  • Excessive consumption of alcohol

Here we present some of the best yoga for cardiovascular diseases


1. Chair pose

Keep stand straight shoulder-width apart and your both of the toes should facing forward and slowly start raising your both of the hands over the head and bend your legs at the knees. keep your thighs parallel to the floor for better result and keep torso slightly lean forward. hold the position.

2. Uttanasana

Keep stand straight and keep some distance between your legs, now relax your both the knees and slowly bend your torso forward. Allow your arms, head and neck to be a very heavy. now release the tension to your lower back.

3. Extended triangle pose

Keep stand straight and keep the distance between your legs of 3-4ft and now turn your one of leg to 90° and the second feet to 15° and  make the perfect balance. now inhale and exhale and at the same time start bending your straight waist towards the floor and lift up your right hand and left hand to downward direction. now try to stretch your body and keep your hand in straight position. inhale and return to the normal standing position.

4.Bridge Pose

Lie down on your back on the yoga and fold your legs at the knees and keep your feet 10-12 inches away your pelvis. Ankles should be placed underneath the knees. keep your both the arms near to the body with palm facing down. now slowly breath in and gradually lift your middle part of back in upward direction, gently roll the shoulder. touch your chest to the chin and put your body weight on your shoulder for better support and make a balance. Hold the position for one or two minutes.

5. Head to Knee pose

Just sit down on the floor comfortably and extend your left foot and press your right foot inside the left thigh. now breath in and raise your arms overhead. Inhale and start bending your lower back toward straight leg and now try to touch your toe or hold the stretched leg. hold the position for a while and repeat with another leg.
