What is steroid?

Steroids are synthetic drug which mimic the effect of  testosterone (a male hormone). 

Anabolic steroids are used to increase muscle mass and enhance physical performance. they are class "C" types drugs, pharmacists can only sell anabolic steroid with a prescription. 

Is that illegal?

Anabolic steroid is legal to personal use but sometimes used illegally. 

Doctors also prescribed to the people who are suffering from certain kind of anemia and to those who don't produce enough testosterone (a male hormone).
