Scientist, researchers and doctors are working on Omicron strain to find answers to many unanswered questions.

While the doctors of South Africa who treated the patient with omicron strain has said that, the symptoms which occurs in these patient are quite different from delta variants.

Though some health experts have said that, it may take some time to reveal how the variant may affect diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines.

So the general question is that what is the symptoms of Omicron variant and are they differ from delta's symptoms?

Symptoms of Omicron variant

Patient with omicron strain complain of fatigue, head and body aches, occasional sore throats and coughs, said Angelique Coetzee, Chairwoman of the South African medical association.

There is no major drop in oxygen level seen in patient with omicron strain till now.

Patient with omicron strain have not reported loss of taste or smell.

Most of the patient of omicron strain have recovered without hospitalization, said doctors.

Symptoms of Delta Variant

Dr. Inci Yildirim, a Yale Medicine pediatric infectious diseases specialist said, "Headache, sore throat, runny nose, and fever are present based on the most recent surveys in the U.K., where more than 90% of the cases are due to the delta strain."

Is omicron more dangerous than delta variant?

Yet, it is not clear that omicron is more lethal than delta variant, but according to WHO, preliminary evidence suggests there may be an increased risk of reinfection with 'Omicron' - people who have previously had COVID-19 could become reinfected more easily with this variant.
