At the peak of the corona all of the offline classes shifted to online classes and now they are gradually coming back to the offline classes, but during the long period of online classes most students are felling some eye problems, in this is article we are going to talk about common eye problems and there solutions to get rid of these eye problems:
1. Dry eyes
Dry eyes is one of most common problem which occurs among the children who spend lots of time with electronic gadget.Â
Dry eyes is a condition of the eye, in which your tears are not able to provide adequate lubrication to your eyes.
If dry eyes conditions remains for long time then it may lead to inflammation and damage of the corneal surface as well.Â
To prevent from dry eyes, limit your gadget use and always take after 20 min use of screen, instill lubricant eye drops (as per the eye specialist concern).Â
2. Headache
In the corona time children are spending more time front of screen specially mobile and laptop than even before, due to over use of screens many children are experiencing headaches.Â
Continued use of screen can get muscles around the eyes tired which can lead to headache, eye pain, etc.
To cure headache, read books instead of reading the same thing on screen, follow 20-20-20 rule (every 20 minutes take a 20 sec break and look 20 feet away).Â
3. Neck pain
Using the gadget with sitting in the wrong posture or laying down on couch may lead to severe neck pain and back pain as well. Â
To prevent neck or back pain always sit on chair and keep your back straight and maintain a distance with screen about 25-30 cm so that you can't put any effort on your neck in order to see the screen.Â

4. Eye irritationÂ
Eye irritation may occur due to dryness which caused by poor tears distribution over the eye due to reduced blinking.Â
Blinking can also get affected by concentration and staring at screen for long time.Â
To prevent eye irritation keep blinking, make a proper distance with screen, limit the use of screen.Â

- Adjust your computer position
- Limit the screen time
- Blink frequently while using screen
- Reduce screen glare
- Use the right eye glasses
- Adjust your body posture
- Take regular breakÂ
- Follow 20-20-20 rule, every 20 minutes take a 20 sec break and look 20 feet away
- Use lubricating eye drops, as per the doctor's prescription
