Is it possible to make muscular body in 50s ?

 

If you are at your 50s and you spent your last 3-4 decades by living sedentary life and now you want to improve the quality of life by making muscular and strong body, then yes it can happen but it will take lots of time and hardwork too. 

Aging does brings lots of change in your body but it doesn't mean that you can make your body better by doing gym or workout. 

Bodybuilders who started late

1. Sam Bryant (aka Sonny)

Sonny started his bodybuilding carrier when he was 44 years old, now he is 76 years old.

2. Dr Jeffrey Life

At 59 years old, he was obese and pre-diabetic, with high cholesterol and low energy. 
 
Dr. Life says, “I put myself on a low-glycemic/low-fat diet.”  “It was a bodybuilder’s diet. They were way ahead of everybody else. It was all about how to gain muscle mass and drop fat. Most people who were exercising were simply following the conventional rules of a low-fat diet, but that isn’t the best approach.” he said.

3.  Charles Eugster

Charles Eugster decided to get fit in his fifties and at age of 63 he start participating in a age-group rowing, followed by body building at the age of 87, winning 40 gold medals for World Masters rowing.

He passed away on 26 April 2017.

So now i don't think that you need much more example or motivation to hit the gym to change your lifestyle in your 50s and achieve that you want to achieve in your 20s-30s.  

This is not only for man but also woman.

What hurdles you may face during body making in 50s 

  • Low testosterone level
  • Low Self-esteem 
  • Engulfed with certain health condition
  • Less energy

 

How to start

Before going to hit gym get the green signal to your doctor and gradually start your bodybuilding by spending on 20-30 minutes in order or make atomic habits which lead to you surprising results to you.

For safety concern always do the workout under supervision of any trainer. 

Proper rest is very necessary, rest help you to repair your broken muscle fiber and prevent from injury as well. 

Plant the workout and diet according to your work goal and health condition.
